Swinging through records: Spider-Man: No Way Home

The Spider-Man: No Way Home movie tailer made its big debut on Aug. 23, breaking records and trending on Twitter for twenty-four hours. One day after its debut, the teaser trailer accumulated 335.5 million views, surpassing the Avengers: Endgame trailer that sits at 289 million views. The trailer broke an all-time record for most streams and views within 24 hours after being shown to the public. The movie is set to be released on Dec. 17, starring Tom Holland and Zendaya.

It’s the threequel in the Spider-man series, its precedents being “Spider-Man Homecoming” and “Spider-Man Far from Home,” both successful films having an average of 90% ratings on Rotten Tomatoes.  Holland and his co-star Zendaya’s love interest has given the film an extra push and pulled the audience in to see how their romance plays out in the movie. The pair were spotted running errands and attending a wedding together by paparazzi which has built anticipation up for when the movie comes out in theatres.

This movie is the last movie before Holland’s contract with Marvel ends, which is one of factors that has contributed to the film getting so much recognition. This movie would mark the end of an era, and it will most likely be the last time Holland will put on the Spidey suit. Who knows what his next move will be?
