Italian Chocolate Cookies (Meatball Cookies)
INGREDIENTS:
3 ¾ cups flour (sifted)
1 cup sugar
½ cup cocoa
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. baking powder
½ cup cooking oil
1 cup milk
Frosting:
3 cups confectionary sugar
6 tbsp. Hershey’s cocoa
½ tbsp. butter
6 tbsp. hot coffee
1 tsp. vanilla
PROCEDURE:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, combine all dry ingredients.
- Add oil and milk and mix thoroughly until dough is firm. Press balls lightly onto a greased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 10 minutes. Combine frosting ingredients together. Dip cookies into frosting once fully cooled.
