Weekly Review: Starbucks Cinnamon Dolce Latte Creamer
Attention all coffee lovers. If you are a caffeine addict but all the sugar in the cream makes you feel guilty, there is a solution. Starbucks’ Cinnamon Dolce Latte is a delicious fall flavor that brings the expensive taste of Starbucks to your kitchen counter. The creamer is about $4.50-$5 for a 28-ounce bottle at most grocery stores. That’s only five dollars for almost three grande lattes at Starbucks.
The perks of buying this creamer is that you can control how much goes in your coffee and make sure that the flavoring isn’t overwhelming. The drink at Starbucks is way too sweet for me, so I like having the creamer to control how much sugar I consume before eight in the morning. A serving size is about a tablespoon and, in each serving, there are six grams of sugar (five of them are included). In a large cup of coffee, one tablespoon is the perfect amount of flavor without tasting like a cup of straight sugar.
The cinnamon flavor punches through the coffee and gives just the right amount of flavor. Only people who really like the taste of coffee will like this because it enhances the bitterness of the coffee in the best ways possible. I don’t find it heavy like some latte creamers can be. It keeps the smooth consistency of coffee with the latte flavor.
I prefer this creamer over competing brands because it is not too sweet. I used to drink Coffee Mate Natural Bliss cinnamon flavor, but the flavor overpowered the coffee taste. International Delight is the creamer for non-coffee flavored coffee drinkers. It has the same amount of sugar as the Starbucks creamer, but it tastes way too sweet to have in the morning.
This creamer paired with oatmeal or another hot breakfast food is perfect for a chilly fall morning. I even drink this at night because it’s not necessarily sweet; it tastes like a cinnamon dessert to warm you up before bed. On those rainy days when you’re at home drinking coffee, I recommend the Starbucks Cinnamon Dolce Latte creamer.
