Chiefs look to beat Knights for 8th year straight
The Sequoyah Chiefs football team is on the road to face off against the River Ridge Knights this Friday, Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m.
Both teams are coming off a loss this past week. The Chiefs lost to Creekview in a big rivalry game 27-14, and the Knights lost to Dalton 34-7.
The Chiefs and Knights have both gotten off to a shaky start so far this season. The Chiefs have started the season going 2-3 while the Knights have started 2-4. In region games, Sequoyah is 1-2, and River Ridge is 1-3.
The Chiefs have put up 104 points and have given up 90 points in their first 5 games. The Knights have scored 103 points but have given up 165 points in their first 6 games.
The Chiefs are ranked 218th in the state and 4216th in the nation, while River Ridge is ranked 269th in the state and 5563rd in the nation.
