Chiefs look to defeat Cougars in Elite 8
As the road to the state championship continues for the Sequoyah Chiefs [24-5 overall], they face off on the road against the Chattahoochee Cougars [22-7 overall] tonight at 7:00pm. The winner of this game will move on to the final four and will play the winner of Tucker/ Tri-Cities.
Going into the week, the Cougars had beaten Heritage [73-68] in the Sweet Sixteen, which moved them up to become ranked 33 in the state. As for the Chiefs, they defeated Richmond Hill 61-56. Both teams are almost identical on the offensive end, having a scoring average between 70.00-75.00 points per game.
Last season, the Cougars made it to the Elite Eight and lost to Tri-Cities basketball team 75-64. The Chiefs lost in the Sweet Sixteen against Douglas County 74-62.
