Chiefs look to defeat Etowah for the first time since 2016
The boys’ soccer team is facing off against the Etowah Eagles at home Friday, Feb. 14th at 7:30 p.m.
The Chiefs started the season by beating Woodstock 2-0 and then tying against Denmark last Friday. The Eagles lost in overtime against Pebblebrook 4-2 in their first game and then lost 2-1 against Hillgrove.
The Chiefs beat Cherokee 5-0, improving their record to 2-0-1.
Last season, the Chiefs finished 2-16 overall without winning a single region game. The Eagles finished 8-10-3 and had a 3-3 region record. The Chiefs lost to the Eagles 3-0 in last year’s matchup.
The Eagles finished last season losing their last 5 games, and the Chiefs lost their last 12 games of the season. The Eagles finished the season ranked 102nd in the state and 477th in the nation. The Chiefs were ranked 267th in the state and 1442nd in the nation.
