Chiefs sweep the season series with a win over Creekview
On Tuesday, January 7th, Sequoyah Men’s Varsity Basketball advanced to a 7-2 region record on the season with a 77-63 win over Creekview.
With their second victory over the Grizzlies this season, the Chiefs hold the number 2 spot in the region standings, whereas Creekview falls to eighth place.
Senior Guard Jacksen Greco, who sealed the title of Sequoyah’s All-Time leading scorer on Tuesday, led the Chiefs with his 20-point performance in which he knocked down 6 three pointers.
Senior Myles McGee dropped 14 points on Tuesday, solidifying his place in Sequoyah’s “1,000 points club.” This is the first time the Chiefs have had three 1,000-point scorers on the same team.
Senior DJ Robinson finished with 11 points and led the team in both rebounds, with 13, and blocks, with 4.
The Chiefs, who have now won eight straight games, are looking to extend their streak with a win over Harrison on Friday, January 10th.
