Chiefs Take Down South Cobb 35-16
The Sequoyah football team took down the Eagles at South Cobb High School on Friday, the 18th. In a 35-16 victory, the Chiefs secured their 4th win against the 1-7 Eagles.
Junior Jaden Mitchell led the Chiefs offense with 28 carries, 153 rushing yards, and a touchdown in their victory. Seniors Christian Hodgins and Grant Gibson combined for a total of 15 tackles against the Eagle’s offense, and Sophomore Avery Born forced a pair of fumbles.
Sequoyah, who took down the River Ridge Knights last week, are now sitting on a 3-1 record on the road and a 2-game win streak, their first of the season.
The Chiefs look to extend their win streak this Friday at home against the 4-3 Sprayberry Yellow Jackets.
