This week, the varsity basketball teams will compete in the region tournament: a week-long series of games among every member of region 6AAAAAA.  

The boys will play their first game on Tuesday, February 4th. The opponent has not yet been announced, and the Chiefs will be the number 2 seed, just one game behind South Cobb. The Chiefs will be matched up against Allatoona, River Ridge, or Creekview.  

With a 14-2 record, Sequoyah looks to extend their historic season with a tournament championship. As of now, they have the longest win streak in the region with 16 straight wins.  

The girls will play their first game on Wednesday, February 5th. With a 12-4 record on the year, they will be the number 3 seed in the tournament. On Friday night, they beat Allatoona 74-40 at home.
