Chiefs varsity baseball goes on a bear hunt

Sequoyah’s Varsity Baseball team goes to Creekview this Friday, March 22nd, at 5:55pm. The Chiefs are coming off a loss, against the 4-10 Sprayberry team.  

The Chiefs are 2-9 with a win at Woodstock and one at home against Sprayberry while Creekview is 6-6 with a series sweep against Dalton and Osborne. Last year, Sequoyah got swept by Creekview with both a 3-2 loss and a 9-8 loss. 

The Chiefs have scored 41 runs and have given up 48 runs in the 10 games they have played. Creekview has scored 63 runs and allowed 51 runs in their 9 games. 

The Chiefs are looking for their second win on the road, with the first one coming off their win against Woodstock. Creekview is 3-1 at home, and they have scored 56 of their 105 runs at home. Creekview was 8-6 last year for their home games. The Chiefs have scored 21 of their 41 runs away from home; their away record last year was 6-8. 

The Chiefs are 204th in the state and 5578th in the nation. Creekview, however, is 128th in the state and 3788th in the nation.
