Chiefs varsity lacrosse take on Woodstock at home

Sequoyah’s Varsity Lacrosse team faces Woodstock at home this Wednesday, March 27th, at 7:30pm. The Chiefs are coming off of a 16-4 loss against the 7-2-1 Creekview team.  

The Chiefs are 6-6 with backtoback home wins against Marietta and North Cobb while Woodstock is 4-4 with two losses against Kennesaw Mountain and Pace Academy. Last year, Sequoyah lost to Woodstock with a score of 11-4. 

The Chiefs have scored 112 goals and have given up 148 goals in the 12 games they have played. Woodstock has scored 66 goals and allowed 72 goals to be scored against them in their 8 games. 

The Chiefs are looking for their fifth win at home with the first one coming off their win against Campbell in the first game of the year. Woodstock is 0-2 for away games, and they have scored 7 of their 66 goals on the road. Woodstock was 8-6 last year for their away games. The Chiefs have scored 62 of their 102 goals at home; their home record last year was 1-7. 

The Chiefs are 57th in the state and 408th in the nation. Woodstock, however, is 45th in the state and 376th in the nation.
