GOTW: Sequoyah plays in close region game against Allatoona

The Sequoyah Chiefs Boys’ Varsity Soccer team goes on the road at Allatoona this Friday, March 15th, at 7:30 pm. The Chiefs are coming off a 7-1 loss against the undefeated Sprayberry team.   

The Chiefs currently have a 2-6 record, both wins coming from home games. Allatoona is also sitting below .500 with a 2-3 record. The last time the two teams met was a year ago when the Chiefs lost a high-scoring game 8-5. 

The Buccaneers have scored 11 goals and had 14 goals scored against them. The Chiefs have scored 13 goals but have given up 28 goals in their 8 games.  

The Chiefs will look to get their first victory on the road for this season. The Buccaneers are 2-1 at home and have scored 8 out of their 11 goals at home. Their home record last year was 6-3-1. The chiefs have only scored 4 out of their 13 goals on the road, and their road record last year was 2-7.  

The Chiefs are ranked 225th in the state and 1,132nd in the nation. Allatoona is ranked 81st in the state and 315th in the nation.
